Getting to Hull and the Wilberforce Institute

The 2024 HistoryLab+ conference will be held at the Wilberforce Institute for the Study of Slavery and Emancipation (WISE), a constituent part of the University of Hull based in Hull’s historic Old Town.

Conference venue

WISE is situated next to the Wilberforce House Museum, part of the city’s Museums Quarter. Please use the following address when finding your way to the conference, whether that is via a Satnav when driving or Google Maps as you make your way from the train/bus station (Hull Paragon Interchange): 27 High Street, Hull, HU1 1NE.

Public transport options

Hull is accessible by coach and rail, including regular services from London via Hull Trains. The surrounding region is mainly served by Northern Rail and TransPennine Express. WISE is a 15-minute walk from Hull Paragon Interchange, the terminal for both coaches and trains (for directions via Google Maps, click here).
